Student Mobility to DTU STEP

Admission requirements and application procedure for student mobility to DTU STEP

Students, who went through a selection procedure at their home university and after that were nominated, must apply to the university through an Application Form. Faculty coordinators from both universities might help you with application procedures.

 

The student must fill out personal information and desired courses in the application (recommended study load is 30 ECTS credits per semester) and submit a draft. After approval by the faculty coordinator from DTU SHAG (confirmation will be sent by e-mail), an application form containing a study agreement will be prepared.

 

The Learning Agreement, duly signed by both the student and the Responsible Person, is the main document that must be sent. A scanned study agreement, proof of language skills and a copy of your passport will be sent via the online application form. Documents must be in one pdf file.

 

The grant agreement will be signed upon arrival. Then the scholarship will be sent to the bank account.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure is entirely at the discretion of the sending institution. 

Application documents

  1. Learning Agreement for Studies/Traineeship
  2. Authorized approval declaring English language skills - min requirements: IELTS score 5,0, TOEFL internet-based score 62 (possibly other certificates at the same level).
  3. Copy of the regular passport within a period of validity.

Grant Agreement will be prepared and delivered upon arrival.

The coordinator from the university will provide you with additional information.

Nomination deadlines

Deadlines for sending a nomination list by your coordinator:

31 March  - for the fall semester and the entire academic year

30 September  - for the spring semester

Before arrival

Before mobility a student has to make sure that he/she has all the following documents:

  • valid passport
  • Learning Agreement confirmed by both institutions
  • valid health and accident insurance
  • sufficient financial means

Do not forget to inform the contact person of the exact date and time of your arrival at DTU SHAG no later than 3 weeks before your final arrival.


Student Mobility from DTU STEP

Admission requirements and application procedure for student mobility from DTU STEP

The student will be nominated for mobility after successful selection. 

The grant agreement will be signed at least 2 weeks before departure. Then the scholarship will be sent to the bank account.

All applicants must successfully complete the selection process. The selection procedure is described in detail below.

Staff Mobility to DTU STEP

Admission requirements and application procedure for employees for teaching/training

Nominated participants for study/internship prepare a Mobility Agreement for study/internship in cooperation with the coordinator from DTU SHAG. Scanned Mobility Agreement, Grant Agreement (without signature) and passport copy will be sent to the University coordinator.

The grant agreement will be signed upon arrival. The grant will be given in cash (euro) at the cash desk.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure is entirely at the discretion of the sending institution.

Staff Mobility from DTU STEP

Admission requirements and application procedure for employees for teaching/training

The participant for teaching/training will be nominated after being selected.

Selection procedure

At least two months before mobility, the faculty will inform its employees about the selection procedure.

Selection procedure

All applicants must successfully complete the selection process. The selection procedure is held twice a year, usually at the beginning of each semester. The start of selection is announced on the University's website. The selection procedure will be open only to students of the relevant specialty that has a current project. The department is responsible for the selection.

During the selection procedure, all students are interviewed mainly in English. Knowledge of the English language and the results of previous studies are assessed.

 

The selection of participants in the academic mobility programme at the University level is carried out by the following competition committee:

The composition of the competition commission may be supplemented by other participants depending on the terms of the academic mobility programme

The procedure of competitive selection is described in detail in the Regulations on Academic Mobility in the STU SHAG.

Selection criteria for participants of the University's educational process applying for participation in the academic mobility competition:

for students:

- successful completion of the first year of study;

- the student's speciality must correspond to the study programme at the partner institution (except for double degree programmes);

- grade point average: from 75 to 100 points on a 100-point grading scale;

- no academic or financial debts;

- proficiency in a foreign language at a level not lower than that required by the relevant partner institution and specified in the agreement on the implementation of the academic mobility programme between the partner institutions. Language competence is confirmed by an appropriate certificate indicating the level of language proficiency or other document acceptable for participation in the academic mobility programme (exclusively for international academic mobility. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

for research and teaching staff:

- the topic of scientific research should correspond to the topic of the dissertation / list of priority areas of education and science (in case of referral for a scientific internship);

- availability of scientific articles published in foreign, international and domestic professional journals, patents (in case of referral for internship);

- Participation in foreign, international and domestic scientific and scientific-practical conferences, symposia (in case of an internship);

- proficiency in a foreign language at a level not lower than that required by the relevant partner institution and specified in the agreement on the implementation of the academic mobility programme between the partner institutions;

- the subject matter of the academic mobility programme must correspond to the subject matter of the disciplines taught;

- the subject matter of the academic mobility programme must correspond to the subject matter of the employee's activity;
